Searching for birth certificate for GGF from 1887

Hi,

I am trying to track down a copy of my Great Grandfather's birth certificate for dual citizenship purposes. Based on the information we have his name was Joseph La Rosa (although we believe that it may have been Giuseppe before he came through Ellis Island in 1912).
He was born in Noto, Italy to Salvatore and Corradina La Rosa. (maiden name Cuppari). The birthdate that I have is February 8, 1887. If you have any advice or method of helping me locate this, can you please let me know. I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much and have a great day!
