The Carini line is quite fascinating, and it's a honor to have the name. Quick question for the experts here....

As everyone knows from the Godfather, Part II, the young Vincent Corleone comes over from Sicily on a boat. When he arrives on Ellis Island, his home town becomes his last name - Corleone. My great grandfather arrived in America around 1903. Is this just a fable, or would he have received a new last name from his home town of Carini?

Welcome to the forum.

As to the Godfather - Corleone thing. I think it's a fallacy. The passenger lists were created at port of departure. His name would have been checked against the list.
