Ciao! I stumbled onto your site. Excellent information makes for good conversation! I was born in Carini and came to the US on April 1960. I was 8 along with my younger sister and mother. My father preceeded us by about 6 years. He found enough love in this country to make it our permanent home.

I have numerous friends and family spread out in the tri-state area of New Jersey. I married a "Palermitana" born there, but we met in Brooklyn NY in the 70's. Still married with 4 adult children and a 13 year old.

We have been to Carini several times. The last visit in July, 2001. I have an uncle and several cousins who live in Carini. Specifically in the "laghiastrelli" section of town.
