Hi all. This is my first time on a genealogy forum. I found this website last night while researching my fathers family from Carini. I have been fasinated since I was a child with the stories my father told of living in Sicily. To hear your father tell of scaling the walls of the town's run down (before they restored it) castle with his friends, stays with you. I credit him for giving me a love for history. When this site came up you could have knocked me over!!! My father, who was born in 1933 and came to the US in 1951 was shocked, too! We found amazing information. That both of his parents had 3 other siblings and that his maternal grandfather was not an only child, but had 5 other siblings! He never knew this since he was an orphan at 10, and was raised by aunts and uncles. How can I find out the birth, marriage & death records from 1905-to 1945? How do I start? I don't know if these siblings lived and there is family we never new, or did they die in childhood? So many questions! This is fantastic! I would love to give my father as much information as I can. I would greatly appreciated any help you can give me.
