Hi!
I'm looking for any records regarding to Sebastiano Palazzolo's parents:

Domenico Palazzolo (b. 1875 d.1981) & his wife
Catarina Randazzo (b. 1887)

I'd love to find out who their parents are. This is where I'm stuck in the tree.

Thanks in advance!

Pearl

OK, Evidently something is very wrong in my tree.

Sebastiano Palazzolo and Rose Viviano are married 3 Nov 1901 in Terrasini, Italy.

I have Rose Viviano's birth as 1879.

But then Sebastiano's mother's birthdate as 1887.

That's only a 9 year difference and totally not right.

So which do I have wrong?

The family is from Balestrate. I haven't seen any database online for this commune.

LDS lists Balestrate Civil Records 1820-1903 and Church records 1800-1910 in their library catalog but I couldn't find the film numbers.

You may wish to also post your inquiry at gentedimaregenealogy.com

Wish I could help

OK, well that would explain it. I vaguely remember Angelina saying something about Belastrate. I can't find Rose or Sebastiano on the LDS site. I think I might have found an accurate immigration record for Sebsatiano, but that's all. Sad

It's midnight. More work for a later day.

Thanks for the help!!!

Hi Pearl,

Some guess work here.

Sebastiano was born on June 4, 1883, which makes him about 18 when he married. it is likely that he would have married a woman younger than he (or the same age).

Do you know if Rosa remarried after Sebastiano died. He died on March 20, 1935 as a result of infection from an injury suffered to his right arm in a fall on an icy street on Jan 21 1935. Remarriage would account for why I can't find her.

You might check the records at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, where Sebastiano is buried.

Sebastiano's mother was probably born in the 1860's.

Like I said, except for Sebastiano's birth & death, the rest is guestimates.

Interesting! Thanks!
What are your sources so I can keep documentation?
I've got to travel to IL to see my great Aunt Babe (aka Antoinette Palazzolo) to see if she has any documents.
Thanks again!

I can't get the image to upload. If you'll email me at eyetalgal @ aol.com (no spaces) I'll send you a copy.
