I've found quite a few death certificates. (If known) The parents are on the certificate along with birthdates, place of birth, and spouses name, burial cemetery (and, of course, cause of death). There are mispellings in many cases but there is an advanced search which allows you to enter part of the name for search and you can even search on the first name only.

You can save a copy of the certificate to your computer.

I know this is an old post, but, because of the link to the Missouri records I was able to locate 4 births for the Marsh family that I had been searching for over the past 5 years. I had received letters of "no record found" but can certainly understand why considering the mispellings.

I am glad so many of the states are putting up at least the indexes to their vital records these days. I suppose it is to help alleviate some of the calls and walk-ins they endure, but whatever the reason, it's fantastic!!
