This is an amazing page on the ancient origins of Carini. It is from the website of Nino Russo, a native of Carini. It is a must-read.

I am amazed by the connections between the history of Carini and the Carini Gedcom file.

What an amazing job was done with the Gedcom file. When I see the family progression thru time of the family names, I feel like crying. I have never felt so connected to Carini as I have these past few weeks.
This is not just a family geneology but a journey thru the past of a beautiful island full of history, love, food, sun and tragedy.

This forum is amazing. I could never have done or seen what I have seen on my own. I feel motivated to read and learn as much as I can about Carini and Sicily.

Thank you

Josephine Amato

That is wonderful and inspiring Josephine, I am so glad you have found the GEDCOM as useful as I have. Michel Alcamo created this directly from the records, as he would extract, he would add the names and info into his database. He is still working on it as he has time!

We are very fortunate to have so much available to us for Carini!
