Unfortunately due to the water damaged 1612-1616 Church marriage volume, many records were lost. Fortunately the record of my ancestor Franceso di Licciardo to his wife Antonina is partially preserved in that we can clearly read his parent's names (Antonino & Angela) and her father's first name (Giuseppe).
Initially the bride's father was assumed to be Giovanni or Giuseppe
checking the index to this volume, you will find Giuseppe recorded as "Gioseppe"
and Giovanni recorded as Joanni
So here is what we know for sure:
September 1612
Francesco di Licciardo (son of Antonino & Angela)
married
Antonina (unknown) daughter of Giuseppe & (unknown)
I decided to check and see if I couldn't find Antonina's death in the records I have online (to 1654) but before I did, I took a look at the marriages of two of her children, to determine when she might have died. Keep in mind the living or deceased status for the parents of the groom and bride are noted (gdm if deceased, nothing if alive)
Here is the 1 September 1641 marriage of her daughter Rosalia to Francesco Gaglio. In it Rosalia's mother is said to be living.
here is the 17 Nov 1652 marriage of her son Antonino to Giulia Corpora, in it Antonino's mother is said to be deceased.
so... by these two documents we can be relatively certain Antonina (unknown) di Licciardo died between 1641 and 1652, which is well within the scope of my available burials.
I find only one Antonina di Licciardo listed (burial records for women at this time are listed under their
married name).
8 October 1646
roughly it states Antonina di Licciardo, daughter of Giuseppe ......) I can't make out his last name, which is partially cut off.
Can anyone?
