I'm stuck. . . again.

My Grandmother's parents are Angelo LoDuca and Providenzia Palazzola. I'm looking for more information regarding Pearl's (Providenzia's) parents. I know them to be:

Sebastion Palazzola b. 1875 and d. 1935
and
Rose Viviano b. 1879 and d. 1972 in St. Louis, MO

Where do I start? Thanks! Sarah

I don't find them in Carini but I do have the following couple from another source.

Sebastiano Palazzolo from Balestrate (son of Domenico Palazzolo and Catarina Randazzo) married Rosa Viviano of Terrasini (daughter of Antonio Viviano and Maria Tocco) in Terrasini on 11/3/1901.

However, I have Rosa's birthdate as Apr 1889

Can you relate to any of this?

I ahve Rosa's parents as Maria Tucco, so my guess is that irs the same people. I got Rosa's birthdate from my great-aunt Antoinette Palazzola and she's close to 90 yrs old. It could be wrong. My Grandma has her birth certificate, but it's in a safe where she can't get to it right now. So. . . I would bet to say that 1889 is right.

Angelina you never cease to amaze me!

I can give you a little info on Rosa but not for Sebastiano. I have no info on Balestrate.

Antonino Viviano (son of Giuseppe Viviano and Rosa Alfano) married Maria Tocco (daughter of Salvatore Tocco and Providenzia Serra) on Mar. 3, 1878 in Terrasini

That's all I have. If I get anything more I'll let you know.

I entered Dominic Palazzolo on my Ancestry list and I got a ton of hits that all match the same dates and family members! All link back to Terrasini! I think I'll join for a month and see where I get. Thanks so much, again!!! grazie

More info

I found through Ancestry someone that has more info on my Palazzolo line.

Giovanna (LoDuca) married Guiseppe Gelard in Carini on 28 Nov 1899.

According to this other person, they had three sons:

Vincenzo Gelard
Filippo Gelard (1899-)
Giuseppe Gelard (1906-)

My ulitmate goal is to see if we still have any living relatives in Italy. Is it possible to go the other direction now and search for the children of these three brothers? Or the brother's birth/death records? I've searched the Ellis Island records for Carini and only find a Filippo Gelardi born in 1887, so I don't think that's a match with a 20 yr. difference.

Any sources for me to look up more info? Any leads?

BTW- I have an ancestry account for the next month, so if anyone wants me to look up anything, let me know.

THANKS! Sarah

Vincenzo was born in Mar. 1902

You may want to search the international white pages for possible relatives. You can write to them and tell them who you are and why you're writing.

this link should get you to the search page

Cool. Thanks!
What is your source for Vincenzo's b-day. I'm starting to document where I get the info so we know later on.
Thanks for the link - I'll try it later tonight once the kids are asleep. Smile

Re: birthdate for Rosa Viviano - I think my source is wrong on the year. She would have to be 12 in 1901 ... I think 1879 is right.
At some point I will find the baptismal record for Rosa to verify the date but it may take a couple of weeks.
