Yes I sure do know who you are talking about! I will let him know about it. I like the idea also (based on your suggestion to make this forum a bit more than just about Carini!)

Hello,
this is the right place where to send the request for a civil record, if your ancestor was born in Trapani (you have the complete records for birth, marriage and death from 1820 to nowadays)

and this is the Cemetery record office of Trapani

To Archivio di Stato di Trapani, you find the second copies of civil record office regarding the municipality of Trapani, unfortunately many records were destroyed during WWII (the same records were microfilmed by FHL)

....and this is the complete list of comunes (municipalities) belonging to Provincia di Trapani

The second copies of civil record office of those comunes can be found on Archivio di Stato di Trapani, and the same were microfilmed by FHL (mormons).
Since Trapani had been devasted by huge bombing during WWII by the Allied Forces, many many records are lost and destroyed, so you can always direct your request to the Civil record office of the town where your ancestor was from
I hope it helps, bye Riccardo
ciao

Thank you Riccardo! I know this forum will not likely be as often visited as our favorites (Gente di Mare, Edmondo's forum etc) but I am very glad to have you here!

Very Happy
