As many of you are aware, my cousin in France Michel Alcamo has been painstakingly connecting all of the Baptisms, Marriages, Burials, Census (Riveli) and various other documents into a GEDCOM database which covers completely the period 1538-1777. We all have been so lucky to have such an amazing and unique resource.

Michel has been working closely with Peter Ciaramitaro for over a year now to correct errors, recover missing Carini church documents and add much additional information from other nearby towns. This is especially useful for those of us whose ancestors originated elsewhere and married in Carini. The GEDCOM is a lot larger now, and I encourage you all to download it. It can be found on the extractions page here:

In addition Michel has updated his three other very helpful files (Help with Carini Families and the two surname documents, also located on the above linked page).

Thank you so very much Michel and Peter!!

What an amazing resource! I can only image how long this must have taken them to do. I have been entering names into a database for all the records I have located recently and trying to connect the families and let me tell you..it's not easy.

Kudos Michel and Peter! Smile
