We are going to Palermo, Italy in mid June and I am hope that someone can help us answer questions about our trip. My husband’s mother’s maiden name was Simonetta and she was born in Sicily in the early 20th century.
We will be visiting Carini and we are hopeful to find relatives that may still live in Carini. Any suggestions where we can find an on line directory of residents of Carini?
We also would like to find where my husband’s mother was born. I assume that most people were born in their homes back in the early 20th century. Any ideas on the way we should go about finding this information?
Perhaps someone knows a translator and how to contact this person who may be willing to work with us when we visit Carini. We have looked on the Internet and have been a little overwhelmed. We are wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a hotel in the Carini area.
