These are the family surnames I'm working and researching:

Palazzolo, LoDuca, Lentini, Viviano, & Tucco

My great grandfather, Angelo LoDuca is from Carini. He married Provienza Palazzola in 1927 after coming to the states in 1921.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance, Sarah Lough

Welcome Pearl

I may have found information for you. I show an Angelo Lo Duco arriving at Ellis Island on 4/19/1921., going to meet his father Vincenzo in St. Louis, leaving his sister Giovanna in Carini.

I'm posting some info that I believe refers to this Angelo, perhaps you can confirm it.

Angelo born January 1904 to Vincenzo Lo Duca (son of Pasquale Lo Duca and Giovanna Cusumano) and Carmela Lentini (daughter of Antonino Lentini and Filippa Cucuzza)

Vincenzo and Carmela married in Carini 6/20/1881.

If these are yours then I'm sure we can take you further back.

WoW! That's them! I have the same dates for Angelo and Vincenzo. I never knew who Vincenzo or Carmella's parent's were though. I was stuck! That alone takes me back further. Thank you so much! Anything more? Smile This is exciting! Sarah

I am not a LoDuca family member but I can trace back my heritage to Carini under the Migliore (di Migliuri) surname. When I visit Jupiter, FL we usually go to an Italian restaurante named Pasquale's. During our last visit, I spoke with the owner about where he was from in Italy and he mentioned Carini and his last nam was LoDuca. I see where some of you have a Pasquale in your family trees, so there is a good possibility that you may be related.

I don't remember if I passed this on to you but here goes. My ancestors are from Carini Sicily. Grandfather was Salvatore LoDuca he came to the USA in 1906 and married Cosima Cilluffo from Valedolmo. Cosima's father Salvatore Cilluffo sponsored the following relatives to come to the USA. As you stated they went to St.Louis. My family made there home in Brant NY. My records show that a Nuninzo age 55, Antonio age 25, and Guiseppe LoDuca age 16 came to the USA on a ship named Ma Sonna from Carini in 1911. And Angelo came on April 1921 on a ship named Canada, he was sponsored by his sister Giovanna.
