Hello,
Looking for relatives in the Carini area. My greatgrand parents Antonio and Maria Paolino and grandmother Josephine left the Carini area around 1910.
My grand mothers birth date was sept 27,1898 if this helps anyone.
Thanks
.

Unfortunately it doesn't give any other useful information.

I found them going to Detroit in 1920. It says their last residence was Partinico. It's possible Maria Bono's family was from there. I'll try Partinico records to see if I can find anything and get back to you if I do.

ADDED:

I searched partinico and didn't find them, sorry.

Took a look at the 1920 Manifest for Antonino Paolino and his wife Maria, and noticed that they were traveling (although it doesn't say her relation) with a "Bono" , and on the second page you can see she was born in Montelepre. There we find the marriage (27 Sep 1896) of Antonino Paolino (son of Franceso Paolino and Giuseppa Licari of Carini) to Maria "Bono" (daughter of Salvatore and (yet another) Giuseppa Licari) Strange!

I remember working on a Licari family in Carini, and my memory serves correctly it was a tough one. (Giuseppa was illegitimate of unknown parents)

I suspect Paolino may have been an Alias.. because Antonino clearly states both on the marriage record and on the manifest that he was born in Carini.

I do find a Salvatore Lino married to a Giuseppa Licari.. strange!

here is the link to that marriage...

was looking at The Montelepre records and found a couple more things..

Salvatore Bono (son of Vito Bono & Vincenza Cimino) married 20 Feb 1860
to Giuseppa Licari (dau of Bernardo Licari and Pietra Troja)

and

Bernardo Licari (son of Domenico & Giuseppa) married 7 Feb 1830 to Pietra Troja (dau of Salvatore & Francesca)

The V index pages for marriages is missing (for Vito Bono to Vincenza Cimino) so I couldn't put my hands right on that record of marriage, searching page by page would most likely produce it.
